NAB arrests Foreign Office Director Shafqat Cheema
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raided the Foreign Office and arrested Director Shafqat Cheema on Tuesday.
The NAB spokesman said that the accused faced the charge of making assets illegally.
The NAB team had to face stiff resistance during the arrest as the accused and his accomplices attacked it.
The NAB has traced an amount of Rs 50 million in the account of Shafqat Cheema.
In Karachi, the NAB arrested its official for corruption. Assistant Director Kamaran Ali Janwari faces the charges of corruption and illegal means in an under investigation case.
A spokesman for the NAB said that TMA Chachro was being interrogated in the misappropriation of funds, while Kamran Janwari had received bribe from the said officer.
