NAB is an independent institution, has no govt interference: Farogh Naseem
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Law Farogh Naseem said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution and there is no government interference in it.
Reacting to the statement of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, he said that the opposition leader had demanded a house committee to discuss the NAB.
“Under the NAB Ordinance Rules 31, the sub judice matter cannot be discussed,” he maintained.
The minister said that the committee could not decide whether the NAB proceedings are wrong or right. “The speaker had consulted me on the Shehbaz Sharif’s production order.”
He said that the NAB law is goof and cannot hold debate on it.
