Name in Panama Leaks doesn’t mean money was made through corruption: PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the name in the Panama Leaks does not mean the money was made through corruption.

Addressing the NA session on Monday, he said that his name was not in the Panama Leaks.

He said that the parliament should devise a unanimous strategy for accountability.

The prime minister said that now truth should come out.

“The people wandering in luxurious vehicles and living in places should disclose their sources,” he questioned.

He said that he had formed the commission before the opposition made this demand.

He asked the parliament to assist in the comprehensive and impartial accountability.

Nawaz Sharif said that no one could be declared corrupt without proofs.

He offered the opposition to form the comprehensive ToRs jointly. He said that they had purchased in flats in London through the income from the factories in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. “Not a single penny was taken out of the country for purchasing the flats.

Nawaz Sharif said that the opposition’s ToRs moved around the prime minister instead of corruption.

After the PM address, the opposition staged a walkout. Later, the session was postponed till 10am on Tuesday.
