Naqeebullah murder case: Three, out of six arrested cops, identified
KARACHI (92 News) – The police have identified three, out of six arrested cops, were identified in the Naqeebullah murder case on Wednesday.
The police produced the accused in the Malir court where witnesses Hazrat Ali and Qasim identified them.
The police had picked the witnesses with the murdered Naqeebullah from a hotel.
The accused Iqbal was produced along with nine imaginary accused and he was identified by the witnesses.
Head Constable Iqbal said that he was appointed at the check-post and lives there and he did not recognize the witnesses.
When another accused Arshad Ali was produced, Qasim said that the accused was sitting in the mobile van. “When we reached the check-post, the accused was at the driving seat,” he said.
Arshad Ali objected that the witnesses had seen him in court. The accused again underwent the identification parade after changing his clothes.
The witnesses also identified the cop Allah Yar. Qasim said that Allah Yar had entered the hotel where they were taking tea. “The accused was in civvies and carrying a Kalashnikov,” he said.
