Nasir Janjua to assume new responsibilities tomorrow
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Lieutenant General (R) Nasir Janjua will tomorrow (Monday) meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and assume the position of special adviser to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Sources said that Prime Minister’s Advisor to Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz will also be present in the meeting, who will brief regarding National Security. “Priorities will be set regarding national security,” sources said.
Former Commander Southern Command Nasir Janjua is from the Army’s 32 Punjab Regiment and he was an outstanding officer in the Pakistan army.
He was appointed Corps Commander Quetta in 2013 by then Chief of Army Staff, where he performed well.
