Nation proud of our war heroes, says COAS Gen Raheel Sharif
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has on Monday visited the Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM) in Rawalpindi and paid rich tributes to the sacrifices and valor of the injured soldiers.
In a statement issued by the ISPR, the COAS Gen Raheel Sharif assured that the nation and the army would do everything to bring comfort in lives of the soldiers injured in the ongoing war on terror. “There cannot be a bigger sacrifice for the motherland than one’s life or limbs,” he said.
During his visit to AFIRM, the Army Chief was given a detailed briefing on modern facilities available at the Institute. General Raheel Sharif appreciated the standard of facilities and care extended by a team of dedicated doctors and paramedical staff and praised their effort.
The Army Chief also inaugurated a special Gym and Vocational Training Department to improve quality of life of injured soldiers and integrate them in the society as useful citizens once again.
