National census postponed, new dates to be announced soon
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Monday chaired a meeting of Council of Common Interests in Islamabad.
The meeting was attended by the chief ministers of all the four provinces. The meeting discussed a number of issues, including holding of national census and the status of council’s important decisions, taken during the previous meetings.
During the meeting, the decision to hold national census in March has been postponed. The new dates for the census will be given after consultation with the stakeholders.
Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi briefed the body on import of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and committee has been formed on matters pertaining to the LNG.
The next meeting of the Council of Common Interests will held on March 25.
