National cricket team leaves for India for World Twenty20 today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has decided to send the national cricket team to India for the World Twenty20.

The team will leave for Abu Dhabi at 3:40am and reach Kolkata on Saturday evening. Manager Intikhab Alam and head coach Waqar Younis will also accompany the team.

Earlier, the prime minister had given the green signal for the Indian tour.

The decision was made during a meeting between Interior Minister Ch Nisar and PCB Executive Committee chairman Najam Sethi.

India will provide Pakistan with Z Plus security, which is provided to the Indian prime minister.


Under the security plan, 36 commandoes equipped with modern weapons are appointed.

During a meeting, the Indian Home secretary had assured the Pakistani High Commissioner of Z Plus security.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan women team will leave for Chennai via Dubai on Saturday morning.
