Navjot Singh to attend groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur corridor
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Navjot Singh Sidhu has accepted the invitation to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor.
In a letter to Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday, he said that his application is under consideration in the Indian Foreign Ministry. “A good step speaks itself and itself makes its way.”
The Indian cricketer-turned-politician said that it is the foundation stone laying of opening minds and hearts after dismantling historic barriers.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had invited his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj, Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu to attend the Kartarpur corridor opening ceremony.
Sushma Swaraj and Amrinder Singh thanked Shah Mahmood Qureshi, but refused to attend the ceremony.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of the Kartarpur corridor on November 28.
