LONDON (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz leaves for Pakistan on Sunday.
The former premier and his daughter will arrive in Islamabad from London around 1:30am Monday.
Nawaz Sharif and his daughter stayed in London for five days.
He inquired about the health of his ailing wife Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who is undergoing cancer treatment in London since last year.
Earlier on April 20, the accountability court hearing the Avenfield properties reference rejected the pleas of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz regarding exemption from appearance. The court pronounced the reserved verdict.
Meanwhile, the court hearing the Avenfield properties reference against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family reserved on Friday its decision on the prosecution’s plea to submit fresh evidence in the case.
As the hearing went under way, prosecutor Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi informed the court that NAB’s international cooperation wing has obtained additional documents related to the Avenfield and Flagship investment cases. The documents relate to the registry record of the London flats, utility bills and council tax.
The documents were received in response to the Panama case JIT’s letter, the prosecutor said further, adding that NAB also received a response from the UK central authority.
