Nawaz Sharif constitutes PM’s Delivery Unit
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif constituted first Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU) on Thursday to bring a paradigm shift in the standard of governance and ensuring timely implementation of key development projects.
The Prime Minister in this regard was given a presentation by the PMDU team members at the PM House.
The special unit has been created in the PM’s office comprising top flight professionals from the private sector, initially tasked by the PM to support concerned ministries in removing any bottlenecks in effective implementation of LNG related energy projects as well as in projects being planned under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Through PMDU, the PM would monitor performance of ministries on a weekly basis.
This will improve inter-ministerial coordination, ensuring timely response on important public service delivery matters. PMDU will work in close unison with concerned ministries.
