Nawaz Sharif, Fazalur Rehman phone Maryam
LAHORE (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman phoned Maryam Nawaz to inquire after her well-being.
Maulana Fazalur Rehman condemned the torture of the PML-N workers.
Talking to the media, Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that the government wants to push the opposition to the wall through the NAB. “We condemn the NAB. The excuse of the NAB cannot be accepted,” he added.
He said that it was being told a lie that the NAB office was attacked. “Maryam has sent a video of the police pelting her with stones. Once my caravan was also attacked,” he added.
He said that they cannot take effective steps for toppling the government unless the opposition is united. “I have reservations on the role of the big opposition parties,” he maintained.
The JUI-F chief said that the all-parties conference (APC) would be held after the removal of the reservations.
