ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former Senate chairman Nayyar Bukhari and his son Ajrar Hussain have on Monday granted bail in a case of thrashing a cop at the district courts.

The court granted them bail and order to submit surety bonds worth of Rs 100,000 each.

Bukhari had reportedly misbehaved with the constable and then his son slapped him after he attempted to search the former chairman before entering the court premises.

Margallah Police Station had registered a case against them under Section 506, 34 and 353, 186 following this incident.

The police constable said he was deployed on duty outside the court and engaged in body search of people entering the premises, when two people entered without body search. The policeman alleged that former Senate chairman used profane language and verbally abused him when he asked to search him, while his son Jarrar Bukhari slapped him.
