Newsgate Scandal: PM bars federal ministers from giving statements

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Wednesday barred federal ministers from giving statements regarding the News Leaks scandal.

Sources said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif allowed only four federal ministers including Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb to give statement on Newsgate scandal.

Earlier, the Pakistan Army had rejected the government report on Dawn Leaks, saying it is incomplete.

In a tweet, DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the notification on Dawn Leaks is not in line with recommendations by the Inquiry Board.


He said that the notification is rejected.
