Nine Pakistanis perish in deadly fire in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY (92 News) – At least nine people including women and children were killed when a fire broke out at a residential area of Farwaniya in Kuwait.

They died of suffocation due to fire. All the nine persons have been identified as Pakistani Nationals.

Nine members of a family including the head of the family Muhammad Asif,resident of Mian Chanu, his wife, two sons, two daughters, mother, sister-in-law and a nephew were burnt to death while his brother Tariq was scorched.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.


Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said that Pakistan Embassy has deputed officials to facilitate transportation of bodies to Mian Channu.
