ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Tuesday that Exit Control List (ECL) was misused in the past on liking-disliking basis. Presiding over a high-level meeting, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan directed the concerned authorities to evolve a clear system regarding inclusion of name of any person in the ECL. Discussing bullet-proofing of the vehicles, the Minister said that only those citizens should enjoy this facility who are regular tax-payers and have genuine security concerns. He said people who use bullet proof vehicles as status symbols need to be discouraged. On regulating Security Companies providing security services to the people, Nisar said that there is urgent need to review the services that the Security Companies are providing to their clients. The Minister also stressed the need for early re-validation of the existing arms licenses. The Interior Minister constituted four committees, each to be headed by a senior officer of the rank of Additional Secretary, to further deliberate upon the discussed four issues. The committees are required to present their proposals within seven days.
