No one should be made a sacred cow for effective accountability: Bilawal
KARACHI (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that it is essential for effective accountability that no one should be made a sacred cow.
Reacting to the statement of the COAS, he said that the process of making a sacred cow had harmed the accountability process.
“All generations have failed to eliminate corruption,” he maintained.
The PPP chairman said that the institutions established to check corruption themselves had fallen prey to it. “These institutions increased the white collar crime. The NAB, the FIA and other institutions did nothing for ending corruption.”
Bilawal Bhutto said that it was time that the new generation should establish institutions for strong accountability. “Corruption is increasing at a fast pace due to failure of the institutions made for accountability,” he added.
