No place for the trio in the team, says Chief Selector Haroon Rashid

KARACHI (92 News) – Dashing the hopes of Mohammad Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, who may have been cleared by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to resume their careers, Pakistan cricket team Chief Selector Haroon Rashid said that there is no place for the trio in the team yet.

In an interview, he said that it would be unfair with the players who have faced difficulties in the last five years by selecting Mohammad Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif.

Haroon Rashid said that the trio will have to show the cricket fans that they regret for what they did and they are ashamed of it, adding that they will have to ensure that they will perform for the country.

The chief selector said that not only in the national team but the trio will not be accepted easily in the domestic cricket, adding that not only their performance but their character will also be judged in the domestic cricket.
