No room for technocrat government in constitution: Raza Rabbani
KARACHI (92 News) – Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani has said that it has to be decided whether the parliament is supreme or someone else.
Addressing a seminar at National Institute of Management on Saturday, he said that there was no room for the technocrat government in the constitution.
“I want that the democratic process should reach the logical end and the democratic government should complete its tenure for the second time in the history of the country,” he said.
The Senate chairman said that there should be the rule of the constitution and institutions should work within the constitution.
He said that the government and the Army are jointly taking action against non-state actors. “It will take time to establish durable peace.”
Raza Rabbani was of the view that unluckily civil reforms had not been on the agenda of any government. “The country cannot be run without accountability,” he maintained.
