LAHORE (92 News) – Zimbabwe cricket team skipper Elton Chigumbura has said that there is no security issue in Pakistan and they are feeling themselves secure.

Addressing a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday, he said they will try their best to perform well against Pakistan. “I am thankful to Pakistan for better security arrangements and warm welcome to his team.”

The Zimbabwean team officials said that security cannot be assured in any country. “Pakistan is a safe country. We are glad to visit Pakistan,” they added.

“We also faced isolation in the past and understand the politics of isolation very well. Isolation is not a solution to any problem. We are here to play cricket and meet brothers in Pakistan. Cricket helps promote brotherhood in the world,” they said.

They expressed their satisfaction over the security arrangements.

“A lot of Pakistani cricketers have not played cricket in their home country. Pakistanis want to see their heroes play cricket here. We are glad to offer our services to achieve this objective,” they maintained.
