No unannounced loadshedding in Karachi from tomorrow: Asad Umar
KARACHI (92 News) – Minister for Planning and Reforms Asad Umar has declared that there will be no unannounced loadshedding in Karachi from Sunday.
Addressing the protest camp of the PTI on Saturday, he said that there would be no loadshedding in areas comprising of three-fourth population. “Karachi will be given additional electricity of 550 megawatts till the next summer,” he said.
He said that the PTI government had not signed the agreement with K-Electric. “K-Electric has been asked to resolve the problems of the masses,” he said.
The minister said that the federal government would fully help K-Electric for the resolution of the problems. “The Petroleum Division has assured that the gas supply will be enhanced to K-Electric,” he added.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that an elaborative plan has been prepared to control loadshedding.
He said that the complaints about over-billing would be investigated.
