RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed on Thursday said that Pakistan has buried the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) forever.
Talking to the journalists, the minister mentioned that passing of bills from the joint session of Parliament on these sensitive issues is a victory of the government. He said Opposition opposed Financial Action Task Force (FATF) bills but their 38 members were absent from joint session of parliament.
Shiekh Rasheed said that the government had neither bargained nor surrendered over the money laundering bill in the parliament. "Nawaz Sharif was still looking for an NRO. He has no courage to serve his punishment in jail," he added.
He predicted that the opposition parties’ APC will fail. He further claimed that ‘S-league’ will soon leave Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The railways minister said an Indian plot to foment Shia-Sunni sectarian violence in Rawalpindi has been foiled as the suspects have been busted.
Earlier addressing inaugural ceremony of a new block at Railways Hospital in Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rasheed said development of education and health sectors is a priority of the present government.
He said eighty per cent work at Mother and Child Hospital in Rawalpindi has been completed at a cost of six billion rupees. He said the hospital will house fourteen operation theaters so that people do not face any inconvenience.
