ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The court on Sunday granted one-day remand to three accused in Imran Farooq murder case.

The Federal Investigation Authority’s (FIA) Counter-Terrorism Wing presented the three accused Moazzam Ali, Ghalib Shamim and Mohsin Ali in a local court of Syed Haider Ali Shah.

The investigation officer Shahzad Zafar told the court that the accused are high-profile criminals, that is why they are present in the court late. The court granted one-day physical remand to the three accused and handed them over to FIA’s Counter-Terrorism Wing.

Dr Imran Farooq’s murder case was registered in Counter-Terrorism Police station on December 5 against the three accused, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain, senior MQM leader Muhammad Anwar and Iftikhar Hussain.

The three accused will be presented in the Anti-Terrorism Court after one-day remand. Sources said that the statement of more than 50 people has been recorded and several arrested could be made in the next few days.
