One killed, four wounded in Quetta blast
QUETTA (92 News) – A policeman was killed and four others injured in a bomb blast targeting a police vehicle in provincial capital’s Saryab area on Tuesday.
The miscreants targeted a police mobile vehicle which was on routine patrol through a remote-controlled bomb. The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was planted on roadside and detonated when the police vehicle passed by.
The blast shook the entire area killing a policeman on the spot and wounding at least four police personnel. The injured were rushed to nearby hospital for treatment.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Saryab is considered to be one of the sensitive areas of Quetta. Militants in the past have targeted security forces and civilians in the area.
