Only PM, President have right to address nation on govt TV channel: Chaudhry Nisar
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has on Saturday said that no one except the Prime Minister and President of pakistan have the right to address the nation on governemnt television channel.
Talking to media in Kalar Syedan on Saturday, Chaudhry Nisar said that the opposition parties should not indulge in political brawl or allegations over the issue of Panama leaks and urged the opposition parties to cooperate with the government if they are sincere to unveil the truth.
He said that the the retired judges have refused to be a part of the commission duer to the political wrestling of the opposition parties.
The minister said that that the leaks do not only contain the names of the family members of the prime minister but also that of the opposition leaders including that of his predecessor.
Nisar said that for the investigation of the Panama leaks, the PTI chairman can nominate the officers he wants to get the matter investigated as he said he is ready for the same.
On the other hand, following the refusal of the governemnt, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has decided to address the nation and for this the options of private television channels and social media are also being considered.
