Only provincial govt has the authority to depute any institution: Qaim Ali Shah

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has on Wednesday said that he is the captain of Karachi operation and 80 percent peace has been restored in Karachi.

Talking to media in Islamabad after meeting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Qaim Ali Shah said that the deputation of any institution in the province needs provincial assembly’s approval.

He said that only the province has the authority to depute any institution whether conditional or unconditional under 18th Amendment.

The chief minister said that they have reminded the prime minister that their approach is constitutional which should be recognized.

Commenting on the operation against corruption, he said that first everything was alright, adding that what has happened in the last six months that operation had to be carried out in Karachi. He asked if there is corruption in Karachi only.
