Opposition observes Black Day against Karachi heatwave deaths, prolonged load-shedding
KARACHI/LAHORE/ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and others are observing Friday (today) as Black Day against prolonged power failures in several cities of the country, and more than 1,000 deaths in the financial capital of the country.
The decision in this regard was made in a meeting of the leaders of opposition parties in Islamabad, chaired by Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah earlier this week. Leadership of PTI, PPP, Awami Tehreek, Muslim League-Quaid, Sunni Ittehad Council, and Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen had agreed to protest against the government.
Demonstrations against the government’s failure to provide uninterrupted power supply to the masses, and 1,000 plus deaths will be staged in different cities of Punjab and Sindh.
