Pak Army jawans assume duties as stage set for LB polls in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – The Pak Army jawans assumed their duties for security during the local bodies elections in Karachi on Friday.
The police will be at the first place for security, while Rangers and Army will be at the second and third places respectively.
On the other hand, citizens are very enthusiastic and canvassing for their candidates.
The government has announced a local holiday on Saturday.
Meanwhile, voting for the third phase of the local bodies elections will be held in 12 districts of Punjab, including Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Multan and Rahimyar Khan.
The electoral material has been provided to the polling staff.
A control room has been set up in the Election Commission of Pakistan office.
The Army jawans have reached the sensitive polling stations.
The ECP has declared 1,791 polling stations as the most sensitive, while 2,016 polling stations have been declared most sensitive.
In Punjab, 964 polling stations have been declared as the most sensitive, while 3,078 as sensitive.
