Pak Army launches ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’ to eliminate terrorism
LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Army has launches ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’ across the country.
The DG ISPR said the decision was made during a meeting presided over by COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Lahore on Wednesday.
All corps commanders in Punjab, DG Public Relations Punjab and heads of intelligence agencies attended the meeting.
The DG ISPR said that the operation aims at indiscriminately eliminating latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made so far and further ensuring security of the borders.
He said that Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Pakistan Navy. Civil Armed Forces (CAF) and other security/law enforcing agencies (LEAs) will continue to actively participate and intimately support the efforts to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
“The effort entails conduct of Broad Spectrum Security/Counter Terrorism (CT) operations by Rangers in Punjab, continuation of ongoing operations across the country and focus on more effective border security management,” he added.
The DG ISPR said that countrywide de-weaponization and explosive control are additional cardinals of the effort. “Pursuance of the National Action Plan will be the hallmark of this operation,” he maintained.
