Pakistan and Afghanistan need peace, stability: FM Qureshi
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan need peace and stability.
Addressing a ceremony in connection with the Afghan peace process on Thursday, he said that stable Afghanistan is beneficial for Pakistan.
“Both countries also stood to support each other in the past,” he said.
The minister said that Pakistan and Afghanistan face common challenges. “Pakistan will continue to support the Afghan peace process,” he said.
FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan is striving for improvement in the intra-Afghan dialogues. “We have to restore the environment of trust,” he said.
He said that prosperity is possible by improving connections. “The vision of our government is very clear,” he added.
The minister said that they had beneficial discussion with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and his delegation.
