Pakistan beat Canada 3-1 in Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament opener

IPOH, Malaysia (92 News) – Pakistan defeated Canada 3-1 in the opening match of the 25th Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament in Ipoh on Wednesday.

Qadir Arslan gave Pakistan an edge over Canada in the second quarter of the match by pushing two goals.

Canadian Richard Hildreth reduced the margin by entering a goal in the 48th minute.

However, Muhammad Tauseeq scored a goal to stamp the victory in the fourth quarter.

In the second match, India defeated Japan 2-1.
