ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi said that India’s false claim of surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) reflects its desperation caused by internationalization of the Kashmir issue.

In an interview on Sunday, he said the voice raised by the world powers, including the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, over the grave human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir has baffled India.

Fatemi said India staged the drama of Uri attack in order to divert the world attention from the Kashmir issue and build a claim of foreign intervention in Kashmir.

To a question, the special assistant said there is no possibility of war; however, we are ready for it. He said Pakistan can go to any extent if the Indus Water Treaty was cancelled.

He said Pakistan is fully capable to give a befitting response to any misadventure of India. The military leadership has briefed the government regarding defense preparations.
