Eidul Fitr celebrated with simplicity across country
ISLAMABAD/LAHORE/KARACHI (92 News) – Eidul Fitr was celebrated with simplicity across country.
Eid congregations were held in each city, mostly at open places, with strict observance of the standard operating procedures (SOPs). Special arrangements were made to maintain social distancing.
In Lahore, the biggest congregation was held in Badshahi Mosque where Maulana Abdul Khabeer led the prayers. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Umsan Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar offered the Eid prayers in Lahore. PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif offered the Eid prayers in Model Town, Lahore.
Special arrangements were made for the faithful at Jamia Mosque, Data Darbar where Mufti Muhammad Ramazan Sialvi led the Eid prayers.
A majority of the government and opposition leaders offered the Eid prayers in their areas.
Eid congregations were held in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Kasur, Pakpattan, Chunian, Sangla Hill and other cities. After the Eid prayers, Ulema prayed for solidarity of Pakistan and getting rid of the pandemic.
In Peshawar, the biggest Eid congregation was held on Charsadda Road. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan offered the Eid prayers at Governor’s House under the SOPs.
