Pakistan is pursuing a policy of peace, says Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has on Tuesday said that Pakistan is not against 34-nation military alliance and Pakistan wanted to present original concept of Islam in world.

Addressing the National Assembly session in Islamabad on Tuesday, Khawaja Asif made it clear that 34-nation military alliance led by Saudi Arabia is not against any specific country. “Pakistan is pursuing a policy of peace,” he said.

He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has the most strong defense ties, adding that Pakistan also train Saudi Arabian military.

The minister said that 34-nation military alliance is still evolving and its scope and participation is being discussed, adding that it would be before time to say anything about it.


Referring to the sale of F-16 jet, Asif said that Indian lobby in the US is against the sale of F-16 to Pakistan, while a former Pakistan People’s Party ambassador is also a part of anti-Pakistan lobby.
