Pakistan, Kazakhstan agree to enhance cooperation in different fields
ASTANA (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Wednesday thanked Kazakhstan for its support for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s (SCO) membership.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met Kazakhstan president Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Addressing a joint press conference in Astana on Wednesday, Nawaz Sharif said that the two countries agreed to enhance cooperation between the two countries in different fields including economy, trade, energy, science and technology and defence.
Nawaz Sharif said that the role of Kazakhstan is appreciable for peace and development. He invited Kazak President to visit Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan will continue to support Kazakhstan at the United Nations and other world forums. He said Pakistan is supportive of efforts for peace and stability in the region.
Kazak President Nursultan Nazarbayev thanked Pakistan for support after its independence. He appreciated Pakistan’s role against terrorism.
