Pakistan knows how to protect itself, says National Security Adviser Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Prime Minister’s Adviser to National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that India wanted to assert itself as regional power and now India should reconsider its policy after cancellation of talks.

In an interview, Sartaj Aziz said that India should not think dialogues as a weakness, Pakistan knows how to protect itself.

He said that the agenda of the meeting with the Indian counterpart was according to the Ufa agreement.

Sartaj Aziz said that whole Pakistan is united over Kashmir dispute.

He made it clear that Pakistan will not request for dialogues in the New York but it would be India to request for dialogues. “India should realise after the current episode that their tactics are not working, and they need to be sincere about dialogue with Pakistan,” he said.

The adviser said that the matter of Indian violation of ceasefire agreement along the LoC will be raised in the United Nations.

He said that the meetings between the DGMOs of the two countries and representatives of Pakistan Rangers and BSF will go ahead as agreed in Ufa.
