Pakistan take on Sri Lanka in first T20 match today
LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in the first T20 match at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
Both teams had a practice session in the stadium. Later, the trophy was unveiled.
Captain Sarfraz Ahmed said that they will try to give all the players an opportunity to play. “We congratulate Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal on their return to international cricket. Shadab also enjoys my support. Hasnain can become a star,” he said.
He said that the Sri Lankan team is good and it cannot be taken lightly. “We welcome the Sri Lankan team. Karachiites accorded them a good welcome and Lahoriites will do the same. The visiting team will have good memories,” he said.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been made for the T20 match in Lahore. As many as 12,000 personnel will perform the security duty. Over 1,600 traffic policemen will be on duty during the match.
Nine points have been allocated for parking at Punjab University Ground, FC College and Liberty. Fans will be shifted to Nishtar Complex by a shuttle bus service.
The city will be monitored through 400 cameras and CCTVs.
