Pakistan test-fires nuclear-capable Ababeel missile

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Pakistan has on Tuesday successfully conducted first flight test of Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile Ababeel, which has a maximum range of 22,00 kilometers.

In a statement, ISPR said that the missile is capable of delivering multiple warheads, using Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology.

“The first flight was aimed at validating various design and technical parameter of the weaopons system,” the ISPR added.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee(CJCJSC), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) and Chief of Air Staff have congratulated the scientists and engineers on successful missile test.


Ababeel is capable of carrying nuclear warheads and has the capability to engage multiple targets with high precision, defeating the enemy’s hostile radars.
