Pakistan will take action against terrorists, facilitators involved in Varsity attack: Qazi Khalilullah

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Office Spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah has on Thursday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif both Saudi Arabia and Iran have given positive response to Pakistan for its initiative to defuse tensions between the two countries.

Addressing a weekly briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, Qazi Khalilullah while condemning yesterday’s attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda the said that Pakistan will take action against terrorists and their facilitators involved in the attack. “The investigation is under way and will be completed shortly,” he said.

The spokesperson said that Pakistan is in touch with both Saudi Arabia and Iran the two countries for the appointment of focal persons to advance process for easing tension, adding that Pakistan welcomes implementation of nuclear deal between Iran and six major world powers.


Replying to question, he said that Pakistan desires peace and stability in Afghanistan and the recent Heart of Asia conference in Islamabad was a big step in that direction, adding that the quadrilateral on Afghanistan will continue and all issues related to the reconciliation process involving the Afghan government and Taliban will be resolved within its framework.
