LAHORE (92 News) – In what turned out to be an absolute thriller, Pakistan beat Zimbabwe in the second T20 match on Sunday by two wickets just two balls in hand, also winning the two-match series.

With 12 runs required off the last over and only two wickets in hand, it came down to Bilawal Bhatti to display heroics. The valiant Bhatti stood the test of nerves to win the series title. With a sixer of the first ball, a double of the second and a four to finish it off, Pakistan won the match, also winning the series.

Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura decided to bat against Pakistan in the second T20, like he did in the first game on Friday. The guest team put up a strong show scoring 175 at a loss of three wickets. Openers led the team to a strong start with the opening partnership taking the total to 108 before the first wicket fell. S Williams remained the highest scorer with 58 runs.

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi made three three changes in the squad with new faces Nauman Anwar, Amaad Waseem and Muhammad Rizwan coming in, in place of Sarfraz Ahmad, Muhammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz. “I think it is the best time to give start to fresh players,” Shahid said while talking about the strategy. “The home crowd full of energy is the best time for new players to make their starts.”
