Pakistan’s internal situation has improved, says PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Thursday said that Pakistan’s internal situation has improved considerably and the nation is determined to eliminate menace of terrorism.

Addressing the luncheon hosted in honor of the US-Pakistan Business Council delegation in Islamabad on Thursday, Nawaz Sharif has invited the US business community to invest in Pakistan, adding that the US remains one of the most important economic and trading partners of Pakistan. “Pakistan’s fiscal deficit has decreased to just 5.3 percent,” he said.

The prime minister said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will have positive impact on the regional situation, adding that Pakistan wants the development of the region, however, all regional countries would have to promote bilateral trade.

He said that overcoming energy shortages remains one of the key priorities of the government and we intend to add ten thousand megawatt of power to the national grid by 2017.
