Panama Leaks Probe: JIT summons Rehman Malik
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family in Panama Leaks case has on Monday summoned former interior minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader Rehman Malik.
The summons to Rehman Malik was issued on June 10 but he is abroad since June 9.
The PPP senator was informed through a telephone call regarding his summon issued by the JIT.
He requested the JIT few days time to appear before it, as the former interior minister is abroad since June 9. He appealed the JIT to issue new date.
Sources said that Rehman Malik had initiated investigations against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Hudabiya Papers Mill and Money Laundering due to which he has been summoned.
