Panama Papers named more names in second bombshell
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Panama Papers has on Monday once again exposed the hidden investors as the names of the more than 200,000 offshore companies contained in the Panama Papers, including hundreds with links to Pakistan have been published.
The Panama Papers contain more than 2.5 million files, analyzed by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and 112 reporters across 58 countries. Today’s data dump is just part of the picture, detailing the relationships between individuals, companies and offshore entities.
The names of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan’s financier, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s cousin, former president Asif Zardari’s and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf’s close friend, Seth Abid’s family, retired admiral’s son, former MD of Port Qasim Authority and mother of Oscar Award winner Sharmeen Chinoy figured in the list, while more names to appear after thorough investigations.
The names of son of former minister for health Naseer Khan’s and former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce Shaukat Ahmad’s are very much in the record and have been identified as owners of an offshore company each.
Former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce Shaukat Ahmad’s name is also included in the list and has been identified as owners of an offshore company.
Former MD Port Qasim Authority Abdul Sattar Dero owns an offshore company.
