Parliamentary committee set up for Panama Leaks ToRs

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A notification has been issued to set up the parliamentary committee to prepare the terms of reference (ToRs) for a probe into the Panama Leaks.

The notification has been issued after the approval of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

The committee comprises of six members each from the treasury and the opposition.

Ishaq Dar, Kh Asif, Kh Saad Rafique, Anusha Rahman, Akram Durrani and Mir Hasil Bizanjo will be the members of the government, while Aitzaz Ahsan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Sahibzada Tariqullah, Barrister Saif, Tariq Bashir Cheema and Ilyas Bilour will represent the opposition.

The first meeting of the parliamentary committee will be held at 4pm on Wednesday.

The parliamentary committee will prepare the ToRs for investigations into the Panama Papers, offshore companies, waiving of the loans and kickbacks.
