Parliament’s joint session put off sine die; bill to privatize PIA passed
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The joint session of the parliament was postponed sine die after passing the bill to change the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) into a private limited company.
Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar said that all the show-cause notices and suspension and transfer orders would be withdrawn.
“However, all the cases will be withdrawn as per law,” he added.
Meanwhile, the joint session did a heated debate over the disclosures made in the Panama Leaks.
Aitzaz Ahsan said that the Rs20 billion loan was taken in the name of Chaudht Sugar Mill.
“The prime minister’s son purchased property by making Nelson and NESCOL companies. Hussain Nawaz did business in the name of his companies, not himself. The reality has become public after the disclosure of the secret,” he said.
