Parliament’s joint session to be held at 5pm today
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The joint session of the parliament summoned by President Dr Arif Alvi will be held on Thursday.
The joint session will start at 5pm. Moreover, the National Assembly will meet at 10am on September 13.
On August 29, the joint session of the parliament was postponed due to ‘unavoidable circumstances’. President Dr Arif Alvi had to address the joint session.
The Ministry for Parliamentary Affairs had also postponed the National Assembly session starting from September 2.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had condemned the postponing of the joint session of the parliament. PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal had said that the government wanted to create a democratic and constitutional crisis by not convening the session.
