Party Funding case: SC orders Imran Khan to submit reply in two weeks
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Wednesday ordered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to submit reply in the apex court.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian saqib Nisar resumed hearing of the PTI party funding case.
During the proceedings, Akram Sheikh, counsel of PML-N leader Haneef Abbasi said that his client is ready to send the party funding matter to the Election Commission.
Chief Justice remarked that the court will decided about the questionnaire that would be sent the ECP.
Akram Sheikh said that the PTI is tracing the records to which the Chief Justice said that it takes time to bring the document from the other country.
The court further ordered Imran Khan to submit reply in one week.
Talking to media after the hearing, PML-N leaders said that the government believes in the supremacy of law and the constitution.
They said that PTI Chairman has always ridiculed the constitutional institutions of the country.
They said that strong evidences have been revealed against PTI Chairman and his companions and time for their accountability has come now.
They said that PTI Chief cannot come into power through leveling false allegations against others.
They said that Imran Khan has totally failed to present proofs against three times elected Prime Minister and his family.
