Selection committee announces 35 players for England tour camp

LAHORE (92 News) – The National Selection Committee has announced 35 players for the training camp to be held for the England tour at Kakul from May 14 to June 4.

The fitness test will be held from May 8 to 12 at National Cricket Academy, Lahore.

Speaking on the occasion, chief selector Inzamamul Haq said that they would give opportunity to young players instead of Afridi.

Selection of Pakistan team for fitness camp:

Opening Batsmen: Muhammad Hafeez, Sami Aslam, Iftikhar Ahmed, Azhar Ali, Sharjeel Khan, Khurram Manzoor and Shan Masood.

Middle Order Batsmen: Younis Khan, Misbahul Haq, Asad Shafiq, Shoaib Malik, Babar Azam, Harris Sohail, Khalid Latif, Fawad Alam, Akbarur Rahman and Asif Zakir.

All-rounders: Anwar Ali and Bilawal Bhatti.

Fast Bowlers: Mohammad Amir, Rahat Ali, Imran Khan, Sohail Khan, Wahab Riaz, Junaid Khan and Hasan Ali.

Wicket Keepers: Sarfraz Ahmed, Muhammad Rizwan and Adnan Akmal.

Spinners: Yasir Shah, Zulfiqar Babar, Muhammad Ashgar, Imad Wasim, Bilal Asif, Zohaib Khan,


Selection of Pakistan A Team for Camp:

Opening Batsman: Fakhir Zaman, Jahid Ali, Muhammad Waqas, Zain Abbas and Israrullah.

Middle Order Batsman: Umar Amin, Abdul Rehman Muzammil, Saud Shakil, Abid Ali, Umer Siddiq.

All Rounders: Muhammad Nawaz, Fahim Ashraf and Aamir Yamin.

Fast Bowlers: Muhammad Abbas, Azizullah, Mir Hamza, Ahmed Jamal, Ziaul Haq and Ammad Butt.

Wicket Keepers: Saifullah Bangash and M. Hassan.

Spinners: Osama Mir, Shahdab Khan (U-19), Hayatullah (U-19), Zafar Gohar.
