PCB to appeal against Yasir Shah’s suspension
LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has on Sunday decided to appeal against leg-spinner Yasir Shah’s provisional suspension for an anti-doping code violation.
The ICC will now form an independent tribunal within two weeks to hear the case. “PCB, on behalf of Yasir, have exercised the right of appeal and informed the ICC that it will contest this case.”
According to the details compiled by the PCB, Yasir had reportedly taken his wife’s blood pressure medication, unaware of the banned substance contained in the drug.
The 29-year-old tested positive for a banned substance after undergoing a random test during Pakistan’s one-day international series against England in the United Arab Emirates in November.
