PCB unveils Independence Cup trophy

LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the Independence Cup trophy at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.

The event will be played between Pakistan and World XI.

Talking to the media after the ceremony, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed said that the contest will be tough with World XI. “We have won the Champions Trophy and no player is under pressure,” he said.

Sarfraz Ahmed said that they would try to display the best performance. “The return of international cricket is a good omen,” he added.


Earlier, the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) World XI and Pakistan players had a practice at Gaddafi Stadium.
